SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

   With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.

Do not reset the program in Debug mode

this is requedted for a while
in the meantime if you have a board with a physical reset button
give a run and press the reset h/w button that will reset everything and debugger shall hit the main brakepoint again.

alternatively you can add a function in your project that call NVIC_SystemReset()
when you need to reset while stoped in debugger head up to this fucntion code
right clijck at use “move to line” thsi will set pc here, let’s run it will reset the mcu
that may not alway wok as not all system is reset
