SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.
You can get more information from the ac6-tools website and download (registration required) various documents highlighting:

Problem to attach Nucleo411 debugger

Hi,

I just start with OpenSTM32 and try to program a Nucleo411 board. Base is a Cube generation and I followed your advice for the Cube import. Compilation works well, but if I try to activate the debugger via debug as..., the error message “Cannot find binaries, please build project first” appears. I had build the project and and an .elf file has been generated.

Any hints, what went wrong?

Many thanks in advance
Walter

Hi Walter,

There is a bug in the CubeMX project generation; the workaround is simple: you should refresh the project after the first successfull compile (select the project then hit F5 or right-click >> Refresh) and then it should work.

Hi Bernard,

Many thanks for your quick answer. It runs perfectly now!
